Road Trip/Driving Songs: Country Playlist

Jan 11

I’ll start off by saying that there is no “perfect” playlist and no list is completely finished since we all love and dislike different songs. There are also always new tunes that come out and then there are old songs that can be forgotten at times (unfortunate, but very true). This is just the list that I came up with after much deliberation. I literally had to narrow this list down from hundreds to just these few! (Okay, maybe fifty isn’t “a few,” but after the original list that was created, this is definitely not many.) I apologize in advance if one of your favorite songs is not on here. At the same time, feel free to comment and post your favorite country song(s) to listen to while driving! Now! With that out of the way, let’s get into it!

We all get in that mood, where we just want to get in the car and drive somewhere, anywhere. The one thing we all need when we get in those moods: our perfect playlist. Barney Stinson from the hit TV series “How I Met Your Mother” has his “Get Psyched” playlist that accommodates his love to have a good time with his friends, so it is only fit that we all have our own awesome driving around playlist, right? We all listen to different types of music, so this entry is strictly going to be geared to those who have a strong love for country music. No need to fret though, there will be one for each type of genre (the big ones, at least)! So if you are not the back-road-loving, dirt-road-riding kind of person, there will be a playlist dedicated to those who may just love rocking out to pure rock or those who love to head bang to some metal! Until then, this playlist is like Colt Ford (featuring Jason Aldean)’s “Driving Around Song”:
“Hey, this is for the driving around, Jack and Diane town, anywhere Saturday night
Yeah, yeah, this is for the back road, turning up the radio, heading right
Where the two lane turns into main street, cruising the same streets,
Over in the passenger seat
Baby ain’t never looked better just singing along,
To this driving around song”

And if not, hey, there is still something on here for everyone. Enjoy!

Additional Comments.

I just wanted to add that car jamming is an awesome thing. Playlists that are already put together by you or someone else are also a wonderful things. If you create your perfect playlist to rock out too for those long drives, it is best because, you may not see it, but that can help prevent distracted driving. Distracted driving can be anything from playing with the radio (hence best having a set playlist) to talking on your cell phone. Please do not drive distractedly. Be the best driver you can; be a defensive driver! For more information on learning how to be a better defensive driver, please visit
