During this Labor Day weekend, AAA predicts 34.1 million Americans will travel more than 50 miles from home and that 85%, or 29.2 million people, will drive; the highest it’s ever been!

Here are a few things to keep in mind if you plan on doing any form of traveling this holiday weekend:

  • Buckle up
  • Pay attention
  • Don’t drink and drive
  • Pay close attention to your surroundings and other drivers
  • Be a defensive driver!

The good news is gas prices are down from last Labor Day! The gas average is now $3.57, which is 15 cents cheaper than last year during this time. So if you’re planning on driving the same distance you did last year, at least you can find comfort in the fact that you will be saving money! And not much beats saving money on gas these days.
