Child Safety Seat Checkup Week: SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A.

Mar 28

When it comes to your child’s safety, nothing could be more important. As parents, if your child is still in a car seat (this depends on their age and weight), you will want to make sure they are as safe as possible and that your child is buckled properly for the unexpected.

SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A. along with the sponsorship and support from the Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County, California Office of Traffic Safety, Pomona Police Department, and Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. have all come together to spread the word about your child’s safety in the car. This upcoming week (Sunday, March 31st-Saturday, April 6th), is Child Safety Seat Checkup Week. The final day on Saturday, April 6th, SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A. and their sponsors will be at the Peterson Automotive Museum doing FREE car seat inspections from 10:00am-2:00pm PDT. Although this event is free, SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A. does suggest that you make an appointment. They anticipate a large number of families showing up to the event, so if you do not make a child safety seat check appointment, you could have a wait time of over an hour or be turned away. The child seat safety event will last for only four (4) short hours. Be sure to make an appointment today by calling 1(800)745-SAFE!

Along with free car seat checks, there will be a welcome ceremony and recognition of notable guests starting at 11:30am PDT. Families and participants of the car seat check will be able to meet Bucklebear and his friends. Additionally, the Petersen Automotive Museum is offering discounts and coupons to those participating as a way of showing thanks and support to the families who also want to promote child safety.

Please Note: If you are a trained safety seat checker or would like to be a general volunteer to this event, please call (310)222-6860. Checkers will be required to be at the location of the event from 9:00am-3:00pm PDT.
