911: Never Forget

Sep 11

“Never forget.”

With a heavy heart, Americans and Patriots across the nation are remembering and honoring those who lost their lives in the tragedy that happened 12 years ago today. This day forever changed our lives and our country and left families weakened by the loved ones who are missing. Through this rough patch, however, our country will forever stand strong.

“The attacks of September 11th were intended to break our spirit. Instead, we have emerged stronger and more unified. We feel renewed devotion to the principles of political, economic, and religious freedom, the rule of law and respect for human life. We are more determined than ever to live our lives in freedom.” (Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York City)

Since 911, we as a country have come together. We have sent military out to fight for our freedom, Americans have continued to devote their lives to the country they love, and their families and loved ones have stood by their side 110%. The American Spirit can never be broken! I believe that is something those who attacked our country did not take into consideration when they flew those planes into multiple buildings, including the Twin Towers. I don’t know that they expected Lady Liberty to fight back. But that is what happens when you have a country that stands for freedom: we continue to fight for it because we know freedom isn’t free.

Americans, spend a moment today in silence to remember those who lost their lives and those who fought hard to keep our country safe and out of harm’s way. Thank a service member. Thank your local fire department, police; reach your heart out to those who lost a loved one on this day 12 years ago. As a country, let’s show the world that we are still united!

“United we stand, divided we fall.”

Always remember. Never forget.
